First Impressions

Developmental Stage
Playing with dolls allow children to practice social skills and renew the interactions of real life. Ruth provides endless possibilities for imaginative play. She can act out parts of the story Candy Box Kids or children can create their own scenarios to star in Ruth Moreover, the experience of hearing the story on the tape encourages listening skills, as children need to wait until you hear a sound of jingle before turning the page.

Recommendation
Ruth is a fantastic, high quality doll with great special features, such as shoes with real laces and a removable lollypop in hand. One of the children I work with was easily able to find Ruth in many pages of the book. It took a few pages for her to understand the concept of waiting to hear the jingle of the audio tape before turning the page, but she quickly caught and was fascinated to hear the tape.

Playing with Ruth while listening to the story Candy Box Kids seemed to have the reading experience to a new level. However, some of the pages of the book that illustrate the process of making the Candy Box Kids were odd - especially the first step towards the main character "Granny Mae" has created a pile of doll heads! The child was not seem alarmed by the picture, but I found disturbing and some children can, too.

Lots of fun for a 4-year old. The tiles can be a pain to reload, but is not really a big deal.

I bought it as a gift for my nephew. He was returning five years. Since living in Germany I was not there when he received, but here is what your mother says, "We ended up playing that game for hours after the party. They love it."

My 3.5 yo daughter loves it, and he is one of the few games to children who are not so boring for adults. You can actually lose if no one is watching. And competitiveness of The Game is right. Highly recommended.

I bought this game for my almost-grandson of four years old, who was visiting for Thanksgiving. The Game was a huge success. It is durable, fun and easy to play everything as it is educational. And I liked to play, too.

I have given as gifts and all the kids love it. This game is fun for children under 3 years of age. My six year old loves to play this with your friends. It's simple enough that everyone can play. Great family game.

I bought this game for my children several years ago on the advice of the shop owner of my favorite toy. I love board games, and my children were 3 and 5, then and now begins to appreciate them well. Well, we could not get the kids to stop playing Zingo. They played quietly for more than 2 hours. Since you can play with up to 8 players, had many neighborhood children playing The Game out on the steps of front. Since then I have bought at least 10 Zingo games - I have given them all my sons friends and I always have a little back out to give birthday presents. Everyone loves this game.

Zingo cards have a grid of 3 by 3 which shows pictures and words. The cards have a yellow side (easier for younger children) and a red side to the odler. The distributor of plastic parts of the game is well designed and fun to use. Players cry out to claim a share, which is then placed on the appropriate box player card. There are several variations of play.

My son got it for his fourth birthday, and still plays with it regularly (he is now more than 5). He had begun to read when he did, and The Game helped to add many new words to his vocabulary - but more importantly, it was fun! His friends loved it so much that several of them asked for their own games as gifts. We play until everyone wins and starts yelling Zingo!, And the children help each other get there. And my son still plays it sometimes by itself. It's really wonderful, very, very fun, and it would be great for children of about 3 to less than 6.
